Dr. Katie Burggraaf is a Grand Rapids Native who graduated from Forest Hills Central High School before attending the University of Michigan for both her undergraduate and dental doctorate degrees. She graduated in 2007 and received the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Pre-doctoral Student Award from faculty members.
Dr. Burggraaf met her husband David while in dental school. After graduating, they moved to Boston for a few years before returning home to Grand Rapids. They have two boys, Declan and Nolan, and a dog named Yost. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys traveling, boating, and cheering on the Wolverines with her family.

Dr. Burggraaf has dedicated hundreds of hours to continuing education because of her passion for learning. The Pankey Institute for advanced dental education training has been instrumental in shaping her approach to dental care. She feels strongly about providing exceptional comprehensive care to her patients with a focus on relationship building and trust. She now serves on the advisory board at the institute.
Additionally, she participates in study clubs to learn and grow with like-minded dentists and specialists in the area. Dr. Burggraaf also volunteers at the Baxter clinic to help serve some of the communities more underprivileged patients.
